In-Club competitions are methods to improve your own photography.

Categories

• Animals (wild or domestic)
  • All animals go into this category, feathered, fur, four-legged (or more)
• Photojournalism
  • images that convey a story
• Scapes (land, sea, city)
  • images of landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, skyscapes...
• Portraits
  • portraits where the photographer has full control of lighting and posing - NO CANDIDS
• Candid People
  • candid snapshots limited to people (humans)
• Plants & Flowers
  • our green friends that grow in the dirt
• Macro/Close-up
  • up close and personal (representing a magnification factor)
• Altered Reality
  • images that can't exist in reality; floating objects, duplicity of people.
  • altered beyond reality with editing software like Photoshop, Photomatix, etc.
• Open
  • an image where you're not sure where it belongs...
• Theme
  • must follow the announced theme for this competition
  • images submitted can be any subject, as long as they convey the themed subject
  • Nov. 15 theme is "STORMS"

Rules and guidelines are explained in detail however, if questions arise, they can be forwarded to the competitions group at a club meeting.
